We had a unique lake view room with a private entrance that was adjacent to the main property. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly & the small balcony in our room with a view was a major plus!

LOVED this gorgeous property on the hill! It’s a peaceful sanctuary away from the crowded streets in Varenna below. Stunning!! Only noise was really the chickens.

The location was planning perfect. Varenna is beautiful lake town with excellent views and a perfect jumping off point for the lake. Hermes was an amazing host and wonderful person. We loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Varenna is beautiful and we enjoyed it, but no taxis available you have to stay right in town otherwise have to walk steep hills back to your villa. Restaurants require reservations. Highly recommend Villa Monesterio for walking and outdoor cafe. Everything was very crowded on Saturday and the ferry from Villa Carlotta was over loaded with people if there had been any accident most people could not get out it was too over crowded.Deborah - 10Scored 10

Don't miss Villa Monastero! Lovely gardens walking along the lakeside and tours inside were only offered on weekends. Check hours before going. A few restaurants within walking distance of the ferry. Bar Moto has spectacular views from the water.

Easy walk about town.
Easy walk about town. Wear good walking shoes steps are steep and not always a handrail. Beautiful gardens and scenery. Easy hop on a ferry to go to the other towns. Hike up to the castle is 30 min. I would have felt more comfortable with a walking stick. Make sure to have water.

This property is associated with the In Vinis Veritas wine bar just around the corner. We were delayed getting to town because of train issues. As we walked by, the wine bar owner called out my name (must have recognized me from passport) and had us stop for a splash of sparkling wine before walking us to the apartment. We felt so welcome, like being greeted by friends. Casa Giada is a special place.

It has clothes washer, dishwasher, microwave, stove. Location is 1 minute from train station and parking, 5 minutes to lake and boats. Easy travel by boat to Bellagio and Menaggio. The building is old, but all of the decor adds to the charm. We were very comfortable there. The restaurant was good and well situated right outside the ferry. Thank you we had a wonderful stay.

Giulia the host was very helpful, I was unwell during my stay and she fetched me pain killers. The rooms are cosy, wonderful comfy bed and spacious bathroom and great shower. The views from the balcony in the common area are gorgeous and where breakfast is served from - a wonderful stay and location for exploring Lake Como!
