Offering garden views, Granny's house view is an accommodation situated in Funchal, 3.3 km from Marina do Funchal and 14 km from Girao Cape. The house is located on a hill, you have a nice view of the city both in the morning as well at night. The grill area is very nicely organized, covered terrace perfect for eating outside and enjoying a drink. The pictures don't do it justice as it is more beautiful in reality.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Fajã da Ovelha, Quinta São Lourenço is a holiday home surrounded by views of the garden. Fantastic location in a tranquil setting. Philippe was an excellent host - met us on arrival and took us on a tour of the whole property which comprises of stand-alone houses and a lovely swimming pool. He gave us lots of tips about hiking in the area and let us enjoy our surroundings in our private home from home. Our daughter loved playing with the two cats who often came to say hi, swimming in the pool at sunset and eating at the nearby restaurant with the best views you could ask for (over Paul Do Mar). The actual accommodation is very comfortable, spacious, quiet, great temperature (we visited in Autumn and were not cold), easy to find with Phillipe's directions and has the best view of a sunset we had ever experienced! The kitchen is huge and there is plenty of space to sit outside on the veranda to enjoy a al fresco dinner for example. Beds are comfortable, everything spotless and in working order . We stayed in the two bedroom house which in reality is two connected houses with two ensuite bathrooms - wish we had invited more people with us to enjoy this fabulous place! We will definitely try to come back one day and bring our family or friends along too. Thank you again Phillipe for your hospitality. Just for information: Public transport on Madeira is really hit and miss - you really do need a car for this location (as is suggested), but in case you don't travel by car (we didn't) there are taxis available in the area. The number 80 Rodoeste bus from Funchal to Santa Moniz travels through Faja da Ovelha a few times a day - you can find the information on their website. It stops at Calheta beach on the way, so we spent the day there (before checking in, in the afternoon) and took a taxi from there to Faja da Ovelha. We also took a taxi to the airport early in the morning - we had prebooked it with the taxi driver who took us from Calheta.

Boasting quiet street views, Casa da Avó Duca features accommodation with a patio, around 600 metres from Banda d'Alem Beach. Very nice accommodation, equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very friendly host and easy communication. Close to the town center and the sea. Lovely to sit outside on the patio.

Sonho do Oceano is situated in Ribeira Brava and has a private pool and sea views. Boasting a lift, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. It was a wonderful room, wonderful hostess, clean, comfortable and a great view. Breakfast was great too. Very welcoming.

Offering inner courtyard views, Catavento is an accommodation situated in Porto Santo, 100 metres from Porto Santo Beach and 3.6 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. The apartment was equipped with everything you need and super clean. From the sofa to the kitchen with its appliances all is of high quality. Great central location with a comfy patio. The street nearby can be a bit noisy during the day as it is one of the main roads, but the location makes up for it. Supermarket is basically next door and beach is also quite near :)

Offering a terrace and mountain view, Casas do Baleeiro - Whaler's Houses is situated in Caniçal, 600 metres from Ribeira do Natal Beach and 22 km from Santana's traditional houses. Seriously it is a great place right at the center of this little village!

Relax View is situated in Funchal and features a rooftop pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a balcony, pool at the pool table, free private parking and free WiFi. Great spot tucked in the hills with broad expansive views. The common pool/hot tub areas were a nice treat after traveling.

Set within 1.2 km of Palmeiras Beach and 18 km of Marina do Funchal in Santa Cruz, Villas Madalena Chalets vista mar cWiFi features accommodation with seating area. Everything was superlative... The location, facilities and kindness of the host were the best possible. Do not hesitate to ask for any information the host and you will be helped with the greatest promptness. We are coming back, definitely in Madeira and definitely at Villas Madalena.
