Its interior was impeccably designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. One highlight was the private beach, where we could bask in the sun and enjoy the beauty of the coastline and the local wildlife of Sanday. To top it all off, the kind and attentive host made our stay even more delightful by helping us with everything and welcoming us with coffee, cake, fresh flowers and treats for our dog.

Braeswick B&B is a property located on the island of Sanday, a ferry ride away from Kirkwall and Stromness. Free WiFi is offered. The Loathe ferry terminal is 2.2 mi away. The host Jon and Maria, are helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to be with. They shared maps, info, and resources to help us understand how to have a great experience for the few days we were on the island. The room was very comfortable, there was a common area for guests to enjoy with beautiful views, and the location was perfect for us. we highly recommend staying at Braeswick B&B.

The location is amazing. We loved watching the fulmars soaring, they are nesting in the cliff. We also saw a gannet! The cottage is perfect, very comfy and a good kitchen. Free eggs were lovely and the chickens next door are very friendly.

Everything about Reid Hall exceeded my expectations. Lin and Adam went above and beyond to make our stay a good one- Lin picked us up and dropped us off for the ferry and to start a walk to Noup Lighthouse, Adam rescued us when I wore out after 6 km and then took us to see the Castle on the way back. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful cooked by the lovely Jodi.Reid Hall was comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. Very spacious. Modern bathroom, lovely views. They all gave us lots of tips and advice about what to do on Westray. I hope to return, but recommend taking a car as buses are limited. However the taxi service was good when needed. Everyone I met were friendly and I saw puffins!
