Everything about Reid Hall exceeded my expectations. Lin and Adam went above and beyond to make our stay a good one- Lin picked us up and dropped us off for the ferry and to start a walk to Noup Lighthouse, Adam rescued us when I wore out after 6 km and then took us to see the Castle on the way back. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful cooked by the lovely Jodi.Reid Hall was comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. Very spacious. Modern bathroom, lovely views. They all gave us lots of tips and advice about what to do on Westray. I hope to return, but recommend taking a car as buses are limited. However the taxi service was good when needed. Everyone I met were friendly and I saw puffins!

Braeswick B&B is a property located on the island of Sanday, a ferry ride away from Kirkwall and Stromness. Free WiFi is offered. The Loathe ferry terminal is 2.2 mi away. The host Jon and Maria, are helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to be with. They shared maps, info, and resources to help us understand how to have a great experience for the few days we were on the island. The room was very comfortable, there was a common area for guests to enjoy with beautiful views, and the location was perfect for us. we highly recommend staying at Braeswick B&B.

Its interior was impeccably designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. One highlight was the private beach, where we could bask in the sun and enjoy the beauty of the coastline and the local wildlife of Sanday. To top it all off, the kind and attentive host made our stay even more delightful by helping us with everything and welcoming us with coffee, cake, fresh flowers and treats for our dog.

The location is amazing. We loved watching the fulmars soaring, they are nesting in the cliff. We also saw a gannet! The cottage is perfect, very comfy and a good kitchen. Free eggs were lovely and the chickens next door are very friendly.

Eviedale Cottages enjoys a location in Evie, a 13-minute walk from Sands Of Evie Beach and 11 miles from Maeshowe. There's a private entrance at the vacation home for the convenience of those who... Just great and really thought through on all fronts by the hosts. Everything you could possibly want on orkney, if you have the means to travel, like exploring and appreciate good food and lodgings.

Everything! The host was amazing, took it to a whole new level by taking care and providing vegan options for breakfast for us. The kitchen facilities were even better than most home kitchens and the location, five minute away from the Brought of Birsay (puffins!), is ideal!

The hosts were so sweet! they even invited us to see when the cows were fed on their farm. It was overall one of the best experiences we have had on a stay away.

Located on the Orkney Island, 14 miles from Kirkwall, Smithfield Hotel offers 3-star accommodations with free parking, a bar, and a restaurant. Kirkwall airport is 30 minutes’ drive away. A wonderful place to stay as long as you don't mind driving. It was semi centrally located to most sites you may want to visit while in Orkney. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and prepared to order. The restaurant offered a nice variety of meals for dinner as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. The tv room/lounge was always available if you wanted somewhere to unwind. The staff was also kind enough to allow me to stay there a couple of hours after checkout while awaiting my ferry. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lilly's Lodges Orkney Hedgehog Lodge offers accommodations in Finstown, 6.4 miles from Standing Stones of Stenness and 7.3 miles from Ring of Brogdar. Great stay all around. The bed and sofa were very comfortable and it was equipped with everything you need.

Lilly's Lodges Orkney Robin Lodge offers accommodations in Orkney, 5.4 miles from Maeshowe and 6.4 miles from Standing Stones of Stenness. Beautifully appointed wee cabin. They really made the most of the space and everything was finished to a high standard with cute little touches. We were able to cook and eat around the table as a family of four. It's a small space but the bunk beds were adorable for the kids and jacuzzi great for an evening under the stars after bedtime. The play structure was also great and there was a nice fenced in flat space to kick a ball in front with a lovely view. Would definitely return.

The cottage is large, roomy and proved to be very sturdy during gale force winds. Despite 6 inches of snow we were able to get out of the driveway. The host thought of everything.
