It should be mentioned that the Hotel is in the middle of a typical narrow Village in Wallis and that there is no Parking right beside or in front of the house. On the other hand this makes it special and lets you get the feeling of the place.

Nice, small, calm village in the Alps.
Nice, small, calm village in the Alps. Beautiful area, beautiful views, landscapes. Village is located just next to the national cycling route (the Rhone Route). In the neighbouring village Blitzingen (15-20 min by walk) there is a bike shop where you can rent a(n) (e-)bike (run buy very friendly and helpful men). The place is a good starting point for cycling to Furka, Grimsel and Nufenen passes (although you still need to reach the starting point for climbing/ascending). At the train station of Niederwald there is a storage place for luggage (lockers), very clean WC, garderobe and shower. If you travel by train do not forget to push the button at the station (located nearby the timetable board) to call the train to make a stop at the station.
Studio with kitchen and bathroom for a reasonable price. Close to the Aletsch Arena which we visited during summer for 2 days. Train and bus stop in front of the house so you can go mountain walking without using the car or drive to one of the big parkings near the cable stations which bring you up the mountain.
Niederwald is a nice and ancient village with a history and hardly any tourism. A very pretty church! More exrensive tourist facilities are near though.
Check in was pleasant and easy and the host Fabiola was very friendly.
Quaint hotel in the Rhone valley which is situated in a good place to discover all that mother nature (and the Swiss) have to offer in the area. By car, foot or train. Very friendly owners with a passion for their job. The Hotel is comfortable and cozy with good facilities. The restaurant is superb with many locals frequenting it (which is always a good sign). The little village of Niederwald is like a fairytale village and very quiet. We loved it.
Simple but clean room in a traditional house with generous breakfast included in the price. The owners also run a restaurant which offers a wide vary of local dishes. The hotel/restaurant is located in a beautiful traditional village which happens to be the birth place of famous hotelier Cäsar Ritz. Lovely views of mountains and pastures with many options for hiking.
The hotel is in a very small town with no other dining facilities than the hotel restaurant. Fortunately it was a good place for dinner. Our room was on the second floor (no elevator) of a very old building. It was fine for a one night stay. The town had many very old buildings which were interesting to see. Free parking.
very nice Swiss house in a traditional Swiss
village, very comfortable bed, very clean.
it also has a good restaurant: try the
« chouera » (potato pie) and he rhubarb
cream. And visit the small museum dedicated
to Mr. Ritz, the founder of the eponymous
hotels. he was born in Niederwald.
