It was in a perfect position for lots of coastal walks. Lots of lovely little touches like fresh juice & fruit in reception. The whole ambiance of the staff, food, property & gardens made for a fabulous well needed break. We could only manage 2 nights but could have happily stayed much longer.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and very efficient. We had an evening meal which was enjoyable and breakfast both mornings of our stay. This was really enjoyable.

We loved everything about staying here, the location, the decor, the cleanliness, the staff, the gardens, the cake, the breakfast, the ease of arriving and leaving, all the little touches that made it a home from home, it was simply the best staycation we have had, even living in another part of Norfolk it felt so wonderful to stay here.
The Orangery is set in lovely grounds around one mile from the village of Thurning. This beautifully restored property is housed in restored red-brick outbuildings.

Gunthorpe is a very small hamlet with no shop, pub, restaurant.The roads are narrow, with no street lamps and you need to drive out a couple of miles to buy a newspaper. It is quite remote so it's lovely and quiet. If you want a busy town with lots of shops, pubs etc stay elsewhere.
It is however, very close to Thursford and perfect for the fabulous Christmas Spectacular which occurs every year.
