I absolutely loved this place and we’ve stayed in quite a few recently. The hosts are very welcoming, the provisions have been thoroughly and generously thought out. The room is so comfortable with a view to the majestic cathedral. Loved the winding stone staircase up four floors. Opens out onto the high street which in the run up to Christmas was a vibrant uplifting place to be.Enjoyed the roasted chestnuts.

Classic French town dominated by churches especially the RC cathedral. A few good restaurants and bars plus a superb themed botanical gardens. Cocktails in Le Club were excellent. It has had a makeover in the last few years, and is looking good. Breakfasts were great - croissants, bread, cheese yoghurt etc - as as much as you can eat. Staff were cheerful and helpful - I couldn't fault them. The room had a comfortable bed, a shower unit that worked well, washbasin and separate toilet. The TV was well positioned on the wall, and included some English language news channels.

The room was very clean and well presented, as we were staying for 3 nights we were asked if we wanted the room 'tiding' but declined the offer, we did however get clean towels when needed. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was a pleasant walk into Coutances.
