Little London Bed & Breakfast and Glamping pod, hotel in Abercraf

Boasting a garden and views of river, Little London Bed & Breakfast and Glamping pod is a guest house set in a historic building in Abercraf, 27 km from Grand Theatre.

This is amongst the best luxury pods I’ve had privilege of staying in! So beautiful decorated with all modern amenities!! And very little touches milk coffee bread etc! Then to top it off the view right on your door is amazing ! Nice peaceful river surrounded by trees! Amazing experience in such peaceful locations!! There’s plenty of amazing scenic walks of you can manage to peel yourself from the seating area over looking the river ! You could spend a lifetime here sitting and watching and listening to the gentle sounds of nature! This place simply is a getaway bliss amongst natures beauty’s !! This may all sound abit much but when you stay here you fall in love with it! Simple as that , thanks guys cannot wait to return xx

Abercraf is a great little village and a lovely base for exploring the Brecon beacons, whether on foot, by public transport or by Motorbike / Car. There are some very scenic roads nearby. We used it as a base for our motorbike holiday that included the Triumph Adventure Experience that is based in the nearby town of Ystradgynlais.

Places to visit and walk, the caves ( Dan-yr-Ogof) are a must, you could easily spend a full day there and the country walks were enjoyable. we found a lovely little pub that did delicious food called The Gwyn Arms that I highly recommend. The place is easy to find and provided parking for the car.

Staff very welcoming but the accommodation, although clean, is very basic with a DIY breakfast. Noise from barking dogs in the kennels mean you can't open the windows, which makes the room very hot at night. Mattresses are low quality and you can feel the springs. £100 for one night for a family of 4 with a DIY breakfast isn't value for money in my book. But I did make poached eggs in the microwave! But they weren't runny though ☹️. Ate at the Gwn Inn up the road, beware, last orders for food is 6.45pm! Basic pub food, was ok, but all meals around £14 mark.

Interesting little village with a slightly sad history of closed chapels, one demolished, but with a very interesting graveyard, showing the history of the area. Lovely walk by the River Tawe. Beautiful countryside around, with lots of roads over the hills into sheep-farming country. Brecon is a gem, so close and a must-visit, Two pubs, one with excellent food, one learning. Try them both!

Abercraf is a small village to the South of the Black Mountains. We chose it because it was midway between the Elan Valley area and Cardiff, and about 30 mins drive from Neath railway station. There are plenty of things to do within about 1 hour's drive, including the start of walks in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Dinefwr Castle (in the grounds of Newton House) and Carreg Cennan Castle are well worth a visit.

Everything! A very peacefull location despite the windows facing the road, free parking straight outside the door, very comfortable beds with comfortable pillows (I slept like a baby all night which is very rare when I stay in the hotels), all necessary provided, staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming, food was delicious. The atmosphere is quite pleasant. The room was clean and warm. There is heating even in summer. The place looks more like a camp for children than a guesthouse or hotel. Not a bad option to spend one night. There is also a kettle and tea in the room. There is always boiling water in the kitchen. There is also a microwave and a toaster.
