Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa is located on the hills of the Berwyn Mountains, overlooking Lake Efyrnwy. The rooms at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa feature a flat-screen TV and a work desk. WOW when you see the location. The hotel sits on a side of a hill that overlooks the lake and lake's valley. View is absolutely magnificent. THe same we thought of the hotel - just as if we transferred to the beginning of the 20th century. TYpical mountaneers style, with lots of timber, evening chill coming from the lake and that special mist that sets when the sun goes down. Our room was cute, cozy, stylish and very comfortable. We both adored the seat in the window sill with cussions and a tea tray. Breakfast was a feast to the mouth and to the eyes since the tables overlook the lake. Stay there at least a couple of nights to get a better impressions and feed yourself with the great atmosphere.

Llanymynech
We had an excellent stay here on the way down from Conwy to Powys. Pre arrival the hosts were very helpful and booked us a table for dinner at the nearby Bradford Arms - which was excellent value . We received a warm welcome from Jamie upon our arrival at the hotel and were impressed with Sam's friendliness and enthusiasm the next morning over a delicious breakfast . We really enjoyed hearing about as well as seeing the progress they are making in restoring this gorgeous house back its former glory and we wish them every success!
Near Powys Castle. Quiet location at rear of hotel . Good car park.
Room - lovely size & clean - comfortable bed. Room service was offered despite arriving really late into evening. Reception staff friendly

Lovely oldie world hotel with all modern conveniences. Breakfast buffet is high quality and quiet varied. Showers are some of the best I've ever used and are fantastic after a days walking or climbing.
The view was spectacular, the house, beautiful, and the accommodations comfortable and clean.
Lovely, friendly staff. We stayed in a refurbished room that was cosy, modern and very clean. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
I had breakfast and dinner each day and they were excellent. The dinners in particular. The room was comfortable wth a fine view of the hills through the window. An excellent place for reading and reflection, as one might expect in an old rectory.
We could not have wanted for anything more. Robin and Jane were extremely accommodating, we had our dogs with us who loved the place and the grounds. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and they were the perfect hosts. Their passion for hospitality and clearly for amazing food was clear to see. Also to reiterate... the food was amazing.
It was such a beautiful cottage that felt more than a home than a holiday cottage. It had everything you could need plus it was set in beautiful peaceful countryside. The hosts were helpful but not intrusive and left us to enjoy the cottage and our time as a family.
Lovely, seems historic to an American!
The cottage was amazing and the facilities were a great addition. The view was outstanding, watching the sun rise every morning from the cottage window was beautiful. Having access to the spa and pool after a day of exploring helped us to relax and unwind. The children loved having their own upstairs space along with all the outside space for playing and running around.
If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place, fantastic surroundings and only a short drive to town, decent facilities and beautiful grounds including a lake, very helpful and polite receptionist on site for most of the day, shame we did not stay longer but will return. 😍😍😍😍😚😍😍😍😘😘😘😘
