Lots to see by bicycle or a short car drive in the local hills. Stay close to the station for easy rail journeys to Ferrara, Bologna, Padua, Venice .

It was a run down town that only catered to people wanting to swim in the spa pools in the hotels. the hotels could have been placed anywhere including a city centre - the local surroundings were very residential and un-interesting.

Montegrotto Terme is the perfect place where any body can enjoy and relax during all seasons. Very friendly natives, excellent pools, best location to easily reach most beautiful cities of Italy like Venice etc. it’s very nice to make walks and bike trips.

The terme pools are quite large and have a diverse assortment of therapies. The Nero Spa was so relaxing and my husband and I could have spent more time here. Several different saunas, steam rooms, and sensory areas. We also paid to have all 3 meals included in our stay and the food was amazing. The wines we tried were all excellent. We stayed at the hotel from 9:30 to 16:00 and the stay was very good. The pools are good, service is too. The only thing, the room was a bit on the worn side, but we haven't even slept there, so it did not matter (I guess they would give a better room to proper guests)
