The apartment was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The location is great. Communication was perfect. Parking near the apartment (free) was not a problem. We knew in advance that the bedroom and bathroom were upstairs and it was not a problem for us, but anyone with mobility issues may want to keep that in mind, especially since there’s also an awkward step between the bedroom and bathroom. Sambuca di Sicilia is a wonderful town to visit and this property is an awesome place to stay.

Sambuca di Sicilia is a lovely town to explore and many other attractions were a shortish car journey away. The room and dining room were classily decorated. The bed was really comfortable. Everything was very clean. The hosts were friendly.

Sambuca di Sicilia is a hidden gem.
Sambuca di Sicilia is a hidden gem. Winning the prestigious prize of Most Beautiful Village in Italy (Il Borgo più bello d'Italia) in 2016, there is so much to explore. There is a deep tradition of art and artisanship here. Lots of beautiful views and close to wineries that abound in the area. Google Maps can often give you a bum steer about roads, so make sure you look at the route before you hit start! We couldn't get enough of the beauty of this place and can't wait to go back!

A charming and lovely city with nice views of the surrounding hills with olive groves although a bit quiet at times because of the low population. Some of the best restaurants are right here in Sambuca. Also, tthe tradional Sambuca pastries were the most delicious of all that we've had in Sicily.

Beautiful small historic town in glorious countryside.
Beautiful small historic town in glorious countryside. Fantastic base to explore the area, particularly of Agrigento and Trapani. The nearest beaches of Menfi are quiet, beautiful and clean. The town itself is small so everything in town is walking distance. It is historic with the old Saracen quarter, an archaeological museum (Palazzo Panitteri) with finds from the ancient Greek-Punic ruins on nearby Monte Adranone (which you can also visit) and also houses Planeta, a wine lovers paradise! There are many beautiful churches here too. There is an excellent market on Via Belvedere on a Wednesday morning selling a variety of food and goods. Largo Arancio is beautiful and if you visit when the water is low, you'll see the towers of the old Saracen fort appear above the surface! The local food is fantastic and the restaurants are excellent and reasonably priced...there is even an excellent street food van. The locals are very friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend this town enough and we definitely will return.
