Located atop a natural peninsula, The Cliff Bay provides panoramic Atlantic Ocean views and private sea access. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 2-Michelin star restaurant and free... Great location on the cliffs near Funchal, overlooking the city on the ocean. Calm place to stay. The architecture of the hotel territory is done very wisely, you always can have a place to be by yourself on nature with the fabulous views. Superb breakfast and on-site restaurants. The room is bright, has spacious balcony, equipped with new furniture and thoughtful touches. The most comfy bed and pillows in my wide travel experience!! Staff was extremely hospitable. They consult me about our travel plans on Madeira and even manage to find me a jacket for the gala dinner. Top level hospitality!

Featuring a bar, Vila Vicência is located in Funchal in the Madeira region, a 7-minute walk from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 1.8 miles from Formosa Beach. I liked territory of the villa, it’s really cozy. And my room was wonderful, overlooking the ocean and pool.

Excellent for cultural experience and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed for 1 night only and it was good. Otherwise, we prefer something more modern, but happy we visited the Quinta

Set within a leafy garden, this hotel features an outdoor pool overlooking Funchal coastal cliffs. Pestana Vila Lido Madeira Ocean Hotel‘s studios are spacious and decorated with soft beige colors. Everything about this property is simply fantastic. Excellent customer service throughout our stay, the staff was very accommodating and we felt like VIPs. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, and our balcony view could not be beat. The breakfast buffet was amazing as well, with something for everyone. We also loved the location, it is close to the downtown without being in the heart of it, and the promenade provided excellent walking paths. A great restaurant and a large grocery store were right across the street as well. We will stay here again when we return to Madeira.

Perfect location, great breakfast with a lot of choices. Across the street is bus stop, in next building is car parking. Nearby a lot of good restaurants. Amazing value for money.
