Offering an outdoor pool and spa center, Castanheiro Boutique Hotel is set in Funchal, 1640 feet from Marina do Funchal. Everything! Staff were great and location was 30 seconds to the old town with a ton of restaurant options. All the staff from the front desk to Carlos and Jose in the bar were extremely friendly and great at their jobs! Would definitely stay here again.

Orquidea opens out on to an extra-large rooftop terrace, overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel room was great, the view was beautiful and the breakfast was good also.

Set in lush, landscaped gardens, 5-star Quintinha São João features a spa and indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools. Overlooking central Funchal and the bay, it is 1.2 mi from Funchal Cathedral. I loved this hotel - it has an old style charm to it, room was very spacious, meticulously clean with a view of the beautiful gardens. Great spa and indoor and outdoor pools. Lovely breakfast - particularly loved the omelettes and fresh juices. Staff are very attentive, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Located conveniently in the Sao Pedro district of Funchal, Hotel GORDON is located a 15-minute walk from Almirante Reis Beach, 1.9 miles from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and a 8-minute walk from Marina... Great location easy to get in and out of with parking on site. Quiet street to be able to rest after long days of hiking. Nice terrace to relax with a book.

Urban Paradise by Madeira Sun Travel enjoys a location in Funchal, 8 miles from Girao Cape and 24 miles from Santana's Traditional Houses. Very clean and nice! Good communication from host.

Apartments Madeira Funchal City in Funchal provides adults-only accommodations with a rooftop pool and a garden. There's a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Clean, spacious, excellent location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Everything worked as it should. Was exceptionally hot in Funchal while we were visiting but we managed to keep apartment comfortable by judicious opening and shutting of shutters and blinds
