I can't recommend the Cheticamp Outback Inn enough! We had the apartment and it was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed. Michelle is so accommodating and is the perfect host. She was able to get us a reservation to this excellent restaurant nearby. It was our favorite meal of our 2 week trip to go along with our favorite accommodation! At one point we were looking for the gym in town. She happened to be out driving and flagged us down to help with finding it. It was like staying with family. Loved Loved Loved this Inn!!!

Located on the Cabot Trail and 0.6 mi, from Ingonish Beach, this Nova Scotia lodge offers free WiFi. Our 2 night stay here was exceptional! The owners are so friendly, warm and accommodating. They upgraded our cabin which is beyond nice- the rooms were the perfect size, super quiet, cozy and most importantly for me, everything in the space was clean/dusted and spider free! It was obvious that the owners want guests to have a relaxing and worry free time. The wifi connection was very fast- especially compared to the rest of our stays in Cape Breton.

Noelle, the host/owner was super nice, kind, and very patient as I locked myself out 2 of the 3 nights we were there. I loved that this property had a separate bedroom as I usually am awake much earlier than my husband so I could make coffee in the morning without waking him. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a beautiful view from the bedroom window.

Chéticamp
The hotel is before you reach Cheticamp if you are doing the Cabot Trail counterclockwise. The office is on one side of the road and the rooms are on the other side. The area is quiet at night but the road can be busy during the day. There is a lovely walking trail right on the property and walking sticks are provided. Just a nice little walk quite appropriate for families. The rooms are quite updated and very clean. The owner even gave us ice for our cooler at no charge before we left. The room was very spacious and we had one queen sized bed.
Baddeck
This was a very charming Auberge. The service was very good and the restaurant cooking was fresh and delicious. We stayed for two nights and the Auberge was situated very well for getting around the Cabot Trail. This Auberge have a nice old fashion of hotel but has all the qualities that any other high end hotel have. The place is on the woods and there is a very picefull environement that this charming Auberge offers. I would definetily recommend to have a stay there. Thank you for the nice time!!

They did a great job converting this older home into a beautiful and cozy hotel. We had room #2 in the main house and it was very nicely decorated with an amazing bathroom (bathrobes too!). It was all very fresh and clean. Snacks were provided in the room. Great sitting area with snacks, books and info on local attractions. A super nice workout room. Good communication with owners, though we never met them in person. Perfect location to get a good sleep after driving Cabot Trail counter-clockwise.
Extremely clean little motel at "Start"or :"End" of Cabot Trail. Owners have worked very hard to make this a comfortable motel. The bathroom was extremely clean, and the new carpet in the room was also very clean. Beds were comfortable. Kettle, coffee maker ,and toaster were provided, along with cups, wine glasses. Tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar, more than many other hotels. Beautiful view from the bedroom of St. Ann's bay.

We liked everything; the cabin, the cafe, the fact we had our own bathroom, the ocean...... We were also pleasantly surprised there was electricity in cabins, we didn't realize that. The owner was very friendly and let us check in early so we could unpack before doing Cabot Trail and the folks in cafe were very nice as well. This place is a great inbetween a hotel and tenting.
Ingonish Beach
Amazing breakfast provided by the owner. Blueberry pancakes, sausages and coffee. Wonderful way to start the day. Friendly atmosphere. Very tastefully decorated hotel room, comfy beds. Fabulous location at the start of the Cabot Trail. 2 great trails within walking distance. Wonderful view from the balcony. Have recommended to our family to stay there if they ski at Cape Smokey.
Baddeck
The lake view from the hotel was amazing. The hotel is right at the beginning of Cabot Trail. The breakfast buffet was quite good with Eggs and hashbrown. The kids ate quite well. The building is a bit old, but is nice and clean.

The hotel is in a good location with a great view. Great spot along the beautiful Cabot Trail. Liked that there were laundry facilities. The staff of the hotel was pleasant to deal with.

The breakfast is very good. We choose this hotel because it is a good starting point for us to tour the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island.
Margaree Harbour
Good position before starting the cabot trail, with a nice balcony and view over the water. Great view of the sunset.
Chéticamp
Good location, several restaurants in walking distance, close to the ocean, right on cabot trail.
Indian Brook
Good place to stop for the night while doing Cabot trail.
Convenience of the on-site restaurant.
I had such a memorable stay at Cabot shores. Special kudos to Sunny, Kritika and Rutwik for making me and my family feel at home. They also helped me with checkin date adjustment as i had an emergency. They went above and beyond to help us with our requests starting from getting our room ready early, providing a detailed overview of property to arranging food, helping with ad hoc requests such as hot water. The food is soooo yum (chickpea and pasta). The property is set in wilderness, very scenic with a nice beach where you reach by pulling rope over a small boat - great experience! Very close to igonish too. The only down is limited washroom esp for bath but overall i highly recommend this place to anyone!
Very comfortable and quiet place with beautiful view.
