The facililities and food were fabulous and the staff were outstanding! Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly if they'd tried! The breakfast was amazing - top quality.

In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is across from the Queensgate shopping center. The staff in the bar were really nice and a pleasure to interact with (young local lady and the man was from Brazil if I remember correctly). I really liked the bathroom consumables such as shower gel, soap etc very nice smelling. Location is very convenient for anything that you might need to go out and get. Carpark is very spacious and easy to park in once you find it, which isn't so easy as the hotel postcode doesn't actually guide you there on a SatNav.

The Holiday Inn Express Peterborough offers rooms with attached bathroom with a flat-screen TV with Freeview and power showers. Great room. Very clean large room. Great location with plenty of choices for dinner. Breakfast was sensational

Everything about this hotel was perfect for our needs. Location, accommodation, hospitality. We've stayed before and will stay again when we come back.

Deeping Stage has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Market Deeping. We had a lovely stay at the stage last night. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the bar had a great atmosphere. The owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Located in Peterborough and with Burghley House reachable within 9.4 miles, Black Horse has a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. I ended up at the Black Horse after being stranded at Peterborough due to an LNER situation - I tried booking hotels in town and they had run out of spaces so I randomly chose a reasonably priced one that was accessible - which ended up being the Black Horse. It looked very nice from the photos and lived up to this image - it's a gorgeous place - an old-fashioned inn with a restaurant, bar and rooms, beautifully decorated. The young woman on duty who checked me in (I can't remember her name but she was great) was extremely welcoming, reassuring and accommodating. The dinner was exceptional - the best gluten-free fish and chips I have tasted! (Coeliacs should check if the tartare sauce is gluten free though) It was great to be so warm and well-fed in such a nice environment after being stuck on the train and then a cold platform for several hours. I'd definitely recommend this place. My room was large and comfortable with space to work and a really good shower. They even let me work remotely the next morning teaching music online no bother! (In fact I got a round of applause from the locals in bar next door when I finished :D) Altogether very friendly, comfortable, amenable and relaxed place. The young bar staff were also great - relaxed, resourceful and accommodating. I'd definitely choose to stay here if I was in the area again, absolutely.

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is opposite and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym. Really comfortable and spacious rooms which are well equipped and very clean. Good beds and plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel has a lovely spa, with a well designed pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, as well as loungers for reading. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. big and convenient car park too, as well as polite and courteous staff.
