The first hotel, where they know how to do perfect eggs. Excellent pools and beach. Very clean rooms and all the facilities. Highly recommend this hotel!

My family and I have been coming to Crete since 1967. I remember meeting the owner at that time and in the following years. He was always a nice man. We have stayed at the Kastro Hotel many years. We have seen it modernize and upgrade over the past 50 years. Always improving, and always the staff pleasant and helpful who have kept the standards of hospitality that the old owner established from the beginning. Congratulations to the current owner, who i believe is his son, and all the members of the staff who have carried on such a fine tradition.

This location is great!! It is right next to the Heraklion Archeological museum, which is a must-see. We were able to walk here from the ferry port and the surrounding area is filled with interesting shops and hip-looking restaurants. Our room was large with a small balcony. The breakfast was exceptional! There was a ton of variety and it was all yummy. We also got room service when we first got in since it was late and that was also good! The pool was closed during our stay but the rooftop area is really cute with a nice view. The front desk staff was very helpful.

Everything!!!😍 To be honest places like this are over our budget,so we saved money for this trip for a while and was a bit concerned if we choose a good accomodation to put our trust in because we did not know the place. But booking this place was the best choice we could make! The hotel itself is really new,clear and elegant from the inside and outside as well. There are many pools so you do not feel the crowd (sometimes we were alone in a whole pool). The beach is literally just around the corner so we were able to spend our whole day there while our room was just few steps away from it. At the beach there were king size beds with baldachin and sunbeds too. There were a toilet and a beach bar nearby to fulfill all of yours needs! Our room was small but it was perfect for us (2 people) and it was well-equipped, we had everything we needed. There was fresh bottled water provided daily and the cleaning ladies did a perfect job! Despite the fact we brought lots of sands in they made our room perfectly clean every single day, huge thank you for them from here as well! Also the rest of the staff were extremly kind,helpful, cheerful and just made our days always :) Thank you as well, I hope my words get back to you,because you are doing an amazing job! We also tried massage here. The hotel provides you a 10 minute free massage and we also add some extra minutes. It was also amazing, we felt incredibly relaxed and calm after it. I definitely recommend you to try it once you are there. We also recieved one romantic dinner next to the beach in the hotel's fine dining restaurant from the hotel. It was an amazing night with a perfect view and incredible dishes! And in the end I would like to emphasize the amazing quality and quantity of food! Everything was freshly made, we had lots of choices and our favourites could be found every day but they also add new dishes to the breakfast and dinner too, so you just could not get bored of it!
