Family run, the staff were very friendly, helpful and provided good advice on the resort. The en-suite room was well appointed, immaculately clean and spacious. The high standard breakfast provided was both very generous and varied. The ski room in the basement of the hotel is only 100 meters from the nearest ski lift meant access to the slopes could not be better.

Set in Claviere and with Col Boeuf reachable within 1312 feet, Hotel Al Foiron offers a tour desk, nonsmoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar. This family-run B&B experience was way better than we anticipated. Parking was convenient right on the main street in front of the building. The rooms have been recently renovated and include comfortable mattresses, solid wood furniture, a desk, and extremely hot water in the shower. We had (303) located on the lower floor which included a patio door out to the terrace where we could sunbathe, meditate on the mountain, and take our breakfast and afternoon tea. The owners, Fabrizio & Simon take care of the day-to-day including a complimentary breakfast of coffee and some incredibly tasty cakes and tarts prepared by their mother. There is also a selection of nice cheeses, juices, and cereals to enjoy if you need less sugar first thing in the morning. We extended our stay a couple extra nights awaiting a parcel and stayed in their father's property two doors down with the same view and exceptional familial hospitality. They even extended the check-out for us our last day. We really enjoyed our time here and the warm welcome we received from the host family.

At an altitude of 8.5 feet, La Tana della Volpe is the highest hotel in the Western Alps, outside Sestriere center. It offers rooms with mountain views and is next to the Turin Olympics ski slopes. It was an amazing experience. We did not realize that we could not go up with the car (you need 4x4 SUV/Jeep). we got picked up by the owner. Enjoyed the amazing views the way up. Once at the refuge you have a great view from the restaurant over Sestriere. The room was fabulous. The food great. Local products. So happy we got to this nice place and meet nice people.

it was our first time at the Hameau des Airelles and we’re planning our return already! we stayed in a comfort 2 bed apartment. it was very clean and our view on the mountain was incredible. The Ski in/ Ski out is excellent. you can join a beautiful blue run down to a couple of lifts or take the button lift just outside the door. there are great restaurants, après ski bars just outside the door, and the best boulangerie/ pâtisserie in town. Our apartment was warm and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. the entertainment, the kids club and games available at reception were a great bonus. we didn’t have time to try the pool, but it looked very inviting. the staff were all friendly and happy.
