Very good place chosen for fire pit, fire was burning exceptionally well.

I liked there was a great little Cafe that you could eat Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner depending on what you needed being out and about enjoying other activities in the area. You Just had to give the owners a heads up on what meal is needed.The Bed was comfortable and the In wall electric Fireplace was an added touch .

Overlooking Oxtongue Lake, this cottage resort is 6.2 mi from Algonquin Park. It offers on-site access to a sandy beach and a fully equipped kitchen in each cozy cottage. Lovely cottage, well equipped , warm, and clean. The location is great.

Located just 5 mi from Ragged Falls, this Dwight lakefront resort offers easy access to fishing and canoeing. All rooms include free Wi-Fi. To us this was an outstanding experience: we had a spacious room facing a beautiful garden which was visited by chipmunks and various bird species as well as a swimming lake (including sun set view). For the lake, the resort offered free to use SUPs, canoes, kajacs etc. and safety gear. After hikes into the close by Algonquin national park, the resort and lake was the perfect cool down location. The owners were extremely forthcoming, even though they suffered from lack of service staff - consequently we only once could use their breakfast offers. However, in the vicinity ( 15- 10 min by car) there were alternative breakfast places, some restaurants and a grocery store. Highly recommended for a 1st short hike or for a late afternoon trail run: the Oxtongue rapids.
