We loved the location. The view was beautiful and continually changing throughout the day. The staff and Margie were amazing. They were a huge help in planning special treats such as massages, pasta making class, and other trips. They also assisted a great deal with the current load shedding situation. They sent the schedule and made sure we had ways to cook with a gas stove during load shedding. Also, the Wifi had a backup battery to allow for it to continue to be available throughout loadshedding. A perfect getaway. We will be back.

I forgot my purse and they called us right away when we left and returned it to us when we got there-the service was amazing! The property is perfectly located if you want a rest night on your way to Durban as it’s right off the highway which was perfect! The bed slept great!!

Clarens is artsy and quirky as most people say. It's great to stroll through but bring a stroller for the little ones. Remember your R1 to use the loo at the Clarens Meander 😉 If you are holidaying at a self catering then be sure to do your shopping in Bethlehem as there is only a small, cash only superette in Clarens although there is a pharmacy 👍🏼 Clarens in one of the few English speaking towns in E Free State 😊 It's clean and friendly and welcoming 😃

As you can see on their account, they said that they are a “pet-friendly”. Before we went to the property, I called them and I talked to a lady, informing that we have a “tea cup size dog”. And when we arrived at the property, they moved us in a smaller (to which we did not booked) and they charged us for a R100 for bringing a pet. But, as I checked their account, “you can bring pet with no extra charge”. They giving a misleading information. And the old man is very rude to my husband, the moment he saw my husband carrying our dog he says with a rude approach “so what you gonna do now, we do not allow pet! So what you gonna do?” Also, I think we are a victim of racism.

Was very nice and it is really a beautiful place. My kids loved the out door play area, that was really amazing and a very nice surprise. The reception was very friendly and meet us as soon as we parked. It was very secure and parking was very safe.
